Watching well trained athletes having heart events on the pitch is quite unusual. They along with their hearts are conditioned to operate near their limit; unrecognized damage may show up as a decrease in that limit. Young men are inclined to push and develop those limits which then put them at some risk. I suppose we "normals" never really operate at the edges so may not even note minor damage that at the edges might be deadly.
All I can hope for is that Sen Ron Johnson does get re-elected and that the Senate goes R so he can compel testimony. The NIH has been rather silent about data they obviously have and we need to know why they have not acted. They have not explained their stands apparently in a belief we don't need to know.
